Our Server Configurations

Mulin Computer understands how important servers are to your business. Our servers can provide the reliablility, energy efficiency, lifetime, flexibility, and performance you expect. The up-time of your server and retention of your data are our top priorities.

In order to fulfill our priorities, we design our servers to be as redundant as possible by doing the following:

• Operating System is configured at a minimum as a RAID 1 Array (mirror).
  
  
  • In the event the hard drive storing the OS fails, the mirror provides a usuable, bootable backup to re-establish the mirror without data loss.
    
    
• Data is always configured on a RAID 5 array
  
  
  • In the even any one drive in this array (includes 3 minimum) fails, the server will continue to function, without data loss.
    We can simply replace the failed drive, and the array will rebuild itself as needed.
    
    
• RAID 5 Array's are always configured with a "Hot Spare".
  
  
  • In the event of a hard drive failure, the array will automatically turn off the failed drive, activating the spare drive, and rebuilding the array as needed.
    We can then replace the failed drive and configure a new "Hot Spare".
    
    
• Redundant Power
  
  
  • In the event you should lose a power supply, having a secondary installed power supply that is plugged in, will allow the server to continue
    functioning without ever shutting down. This prevent downtime, and the possibility of data loss.
